We had a draft copy based on the Australian Health Curriculum, but then had to replace it with a Curriculum using the Western Australian syllabus. We also incorporate Resilience lessons into our Pastoral Care lessons in the Secondary School, once a week. Secondary students also have a set Health lesson each week as well, drug education is taught over one term. Primary students have two lessons per week allocated to Health and PBS focus. To promote our Drug Curriculum, School Drug Education Guidelines were also developed to support staff and Admin. The guidelines assist in the promotion of a whole school approach to drug education with the aim of preventing and reducing potential and existing risks of harm from drug use.
