Transcript: The Night Stalker By, Alejandra Lopez Beginnings Richard Ramirez Richard Ramirez Known as the night stalker often smiled for the cameras at his trial and when he was convicted, he was heard to say, “No big deal. Death always comes with the territory. I’ll see you in Disneyland.”Richard Ramirez, known as the “Night Stalker” was an American serial killer. Ramirez spent over two years of his life raping and torturing over 25 victims and killing more than a dozen people. Killings Killings known as the Night Stalker killed 14 people within a short span between 1984 and 1985. He used a variety of weapons to kill his victims that ranged from guns to knives to tire irons and hammers. Ramirez wasn’t picky about age or gender either. His victims ranged from age 9 to 79, and he killed both men and women. During his spree, he nearly paralyzed Los Angeles with fear. one of the crime scenes Locations Victims of Richard When did the killing spree happen? Date On June 28, 1984, Ramirez’s committed his first murder. The 79-year-old victim was sexually assaulted, stabbed and murdered in her own home. In just one year Ramirez had murdered over a dozen people and tortured of 25 people. After many delays, in 1989, Richard Ramirez, age 29, was sentenced to the conviction of 13 murders, five attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults and 14 burglaries. ? Growing up Richard was a troubled kid. A lot of this was due to his older cousin, Mike, who had just returned from fighting in Vietnam. Ramirez’s cousin would tell him gruesome stories and show pictures of the torture he would inflict upon Vietnamese women. Mike introduced drugs to Ramirez, which consequently resulted in Ramirez committing petty crimes. He also became a Satan worshiper. Lilly AT&T- AT&T became successful because of its dominant position in the telecommunications market, including its near-monopoly on long-distance service and its control over most local telephone service through the Bell Operating Companies. AT&T became very popular in the 80’s due to its long-distance services. AT&T dominates the telecommunications industry in the United States. In the 1980’s, the main leader of AT&T was Robert Allen. AT&T offered long-distance telephone services, corded and cordless phones, and began offering cellular telephone services. Then began offering computer systems for internal and commercial use. Several business innovations distinguished AT&T from its competitors, including advancements in network technology and the integration of entertainment offerings. Layla Piece of Legislation Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 Was a landmark piece of U.S. legislation that addressed both illegal immigration and the rights of undocumented immigrants already in the country. It legalized many undocumented immigrants who met specific criteria, including those who had been in the US continuously since before 1982, and also imposed sanctions on employers who knowingly hired unauthorized workers. Most episodes in this film would end with very intense gun battles, usually leading to the unaliving of criminals they were after before they could be apprehended. James Crockett was serving in Vietnam for 2 years and joined the Metro-Dade not long after returning from Vietnam. While in the academy he worked in, he had made friends with many of the other main characters in the show, such as Evan Freed and Mike Orgel. He started off at the lowest rank as a uniformed police officer before being promoted to a detective. He was then assigned to the robbery division under Lieutenant Franklin Malone. They undercover secrets and hidden areas with the will of their guns to find and solve whatever is creating their problem. The war lasted 74 days and resulted in the death of over 900 people. Public opinion in Britain largely supported government actions against Argentina while critics and most Latin American governments sympathized with Argentina. Lazaro Smallpox eradicated was achieved through a global effort that leveraged a combination of factors, including a readily available and effective vaccine, the absence of animal reservoirs, and a strong global commitment to public health. The impact of smallpox getting eradicated was saving millions of lives, reducing the burden on healthcare systems. It led to the development of the first successful vaccine, and demonstrated that disease eradication was possible. Layla The Cold War gradually came to a close due to internal issues with the Soviet Union, external pressures from the United States and its allies, and the emergence of new technologies. During Mikhail Gorbachev’s administration he changed the more totalitarian aspects of the Soviet government and tried to democratize its political system which only weakened his own communist party. As Communism began to collapse in eastern Europe it was followed by the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany. Lazaro Live Aid was a massive, global rock concert hosted on july 13ths, 1985 at Wembley Stadium in London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. The person who brought this concert was Bob Geldof and Midge Ure who sang in the band called “Aid”. Their concert lasted 16 hours and raised up $100million dollars for famine relief in Ethiopia and
