Patrick Star background history

Transcript: We believe Patrick suffers from mental retardation because he: acts clueless doesn't know simple facts Diagnosis Treatment Plan OCD is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, obsessions or behaviors that make them feel driven to do something. Patrick in this video has OCD over his house being clean and making sure everything is in place. Background Information of Patrick Star Patrick's full maiden name is Patrick Star and he's a star fish. He is currently 34 years old. His parents are Herb and Margie Star and he has a sister named Sam Star. He lives under a rock in Bikini Bottom. Patrick doesn't have an occupation other than working at the Krusty Crab and the Chm Bucket for a very short period of time. His best friend is Sponge bob-Square pants who he spends a lot of his time with jelly fishing or just clowning around finding idiotic things to do. They both love ice cream. When Patrick is alone under his rock he eats, sleeps and engages in the art of doing nothing. Everybody always gets annoyed by Patrick because of his stupidity, but somehow he is still tolerated. Patrick is overweight as well. He is very unintelligent a dumb .His voice on the show is Bill Fagerbakke. Behavioral therapy: (to help with his behavior and immaturity) Group therapy: (to help with his OCD) Janice Kee- Thomas & Katrina Fencl Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: People diagnosed with OCD spend over one hour daily struggling with repetitive intrusive thoughts, impulses and/or behavioral urges that increase their anxiety. They try to control their obsessions with compulsive behaviors (rituals) that function as an attempt to reduce their anxiety. Over time, the rituals become less and less effective in controlling the obsessions. Patrick Star Patrick Star's causes of behavior are: Parents are crazy Older sister has anger issues Unintelligent friends Messed up childhood Lack of parental guidance Cause of behavior Mental Retardation:This mental disorder is diagnosed in individuals who, from whatever cause, have intelligence below an arbitrary level beginning before adulthood and whose adaptive functioning is impaired in any of a variety of areas. MENTAL RETARDATION A developmental disability that first appears in children under the age of 18. It is defined as an intellectual functioning level (as measured by standard tests for intelligence quotient) that is well below average and significant limitations in daily living skills (adaptive functioning). add logo here

Transcript: How I wonder ... Maddison Brown Stars What is a star? A star is a luminious ball of gas, that is mostly hydrogen and helium, held together by its own gravity (Temming, 2014). Factors such as age, disturbution, and composition of stars in a galaxy detect the histroy, dynamics, and evolution of that specfic galaxy (NASA). To better understand stars I will discuss the following topics. 1. Formulation 1. Formulation How a star is formed? What makes a star glow? How many stars are there in our galaxy? 2. Classifications 2. Classifications How are stars classified? What are some of the different types of stars? What is the biggest star recorded? 3. Lifespan 3. Lifespan What is the life expency of a star? What happens to a star when it dies? Formulation 1 Formulation 1 How is a star formed ? How is a star formed? Stars are born as clumps within gigantic clouds of dust and is scattered throughout galaxies. Turbulance deep within the clouds give rise to knots with sufficent mass that the gas and dust begin to collapse under it's own gravitational attraction. As the clouds collapses, the material in its core begins to heat up and its from this heat that later causes it to one day become a star. (NASA) What causes a star to glow? What causes a star to glow? Because stars are so massive, the density and pressure in the cores are extremely high. The Sun's core is so hot and has such high pressure that it undergoes nuclear fusion. The core of the sun converts hydrogen into helium. This conversion first reaction that happens in every star. This reaction ends up with a surplus of energy, this is beaucse the mass of the combing hydrogen is greater that the end product of helium. The mass is converted to energy, and that energy is the electromagnetic radiation (light) that we get bounce off from the Sun. How many stars are there in our galaxy? There are roughly as few as 200 billion stars in the Milky Way (Trosper, 2017). How many stars are there in our galaxy? Fun Fact Each galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars and there is estimated to be over 100 billion galaxies in the universe. The total number of stars in the universe estimated to be at least 70 sextillion and possibly as high as 300 sextillion ("Fun Star Facts for Kids"). Stars are classfied by their spectra, the elements they absorb, and thier tempeture. There are seven main types of stars. Listed in the order of decreasing temperature there's the O, B, A, F, G, K, and M. M stars are common and dim. O and B stars are less common and bright . About 10 billion years “Generally, the more massive the star, the faster it burns up its fuel supply, and the shorter its life. The most massive stars can burn out and explode in a supernova after only a few million years of fusion. A star with a mass like the Sun, on the other hand, can continue fusing hydrogen for about 10 billion years.” ( Temming, 2014) What happens to a star when it dies? What happens to a
